Potty Training

Max is growing up very quickly before my eyes.  For a long time now he has been sitting on the potty in the morning and before his bath and using it so I decided it was time to take it to the next level.  I started by telling Max that he's a big boy now and that big boys don't wear diapers, they use the potty, this went on for awhile.  Then I told him that on Saturday, no more diapers, this also went on for awhile.  If you asked him what was going to happen on Saturday he would reply; 'no more diapers'.  Then came Saturday and no more diapers.  Saturday and Sunday were extremely wet!  Monday we both did better, I wasn't sure of he started to get it or I was getting better at putting him on the potty at the right times, I think it was a little of both.  Tuesday he went back to school in his big boy underwear (by the way I had to special order the big boy underwear in his very small size).  Over the next three weeks he had only a few accidents.  It amazed me how quickly he got it, not only going on the potty but understanding that he has to wait until he gets to the potty when he has to go.  Now he has to check out the potty where ever we go, that's OK, it's better than changing diapers.  I'm know I'm very lucky and I'm very proud of him! 

Happy Valentines Day!

The celebrations continued into February for Max as he experienced his first Valentines Day.  A card and a chocolate heart at home were just the beginning.  At day care everyone contributed to make Valentines Day very sweet for all the kids.  Here's what we contributed to the party.
